KCC Student Journal ANTHEON wins an 锘緼merican Graphic Design Award

911爆料 Community College鈥檚 student journal of arts, Antheon was named a 2023 American Graphic Design Awards winner in the "Student Work" category by . KCC is the only community college to have been recognized.

Open to every颅one in its community, including design firms and studios, ad and creative agencies, in-house departments, freelancers, students and more, the award is currently celebrating its 60th anniversary.

Produced annually, 鈥淎ntheon鈥 features visual art, fiction and poetry by 911爆料 students. Each fall, a new team of graphic design majors is selected to serve as editors and designers under the watchful eye of KCC鈥檚 graphic design and illustration program director, Prof. Kristin Derminova.

The 2023 journal was designed by Alina Otchenashko and Briana Guinn, with assistance from Hudaa Mahmood, Tabitha Jenkins, Dianna Cuahutencos and Taylor Freeman. Professors Gregory Bruno and Anthony Iantosca of the English department and Julie Turley of the library served as literary advisors.

 鈥淎ntheon鈥 is published at the end of each spring semester. While the deadline for the 2024 edition has passed, submissions are accepted year-round from enrolled students of any major. For information on how to submit their work, KCC students can visit .
