911爆料 Community College thanks NYS Assemblymember Jaime Williams of Brooklyn's 59th Assembly District for allocating $3 million in state funds to the College鈥檚 Offshore Wind Training (OSW) Program. And, because New York City allocates matching funds for capital appropriations provided by the State to CUNY community colleges, KCC will receive another $3 million, bringing the total to $6 million. The check was presented to President Claudia Schrader and the KCC students during 鈥淭he Future of Workforce鈥揗aritime and OSW鈥 breakfast at 911爆料 in late November. Familiar with KCC鈥檚 maritime technology programs, Assemblymember Williams spearheaded the push to get city and state leaders to support the innovative conception of an OSW training facility at KCC.
